Continental Plastics Company, with corporate offices in Fraser, Michigan, has been in business since 1951 when founder Patrick J. Luckino began operating two injection molding machines in a 4,000 square foot building with two employees. Today, Continental Plastics Company, which is still family owned, operates 58 injection molding machines in five modern manufacturing facilities with over 600,000 square feet and employs more than 1,000 people. Over the years Continental Plastics Company has become a leader in manufacturing thermoplastic injection molded interior and exterior products for the automotive industry. With complete engineering and design capabilities, modern equipment, and dedicated workforce, Continental Plastics Company has been recognized as a qualified systems integrator of complete sidewall interior trim applications. Since 1995 Continental Plastics Company’s Alpharetta, Georgia facility has manufactured the complete interior sidewall plastic trim for the GM 200 vehicle which is produced at the General Motors Doraville facility.

Lear Corporation Honors Eight Suppliers.

Southfield, Michigan, June 8, 2004 - Lear Corporation [NYSE: LEA] today announced the presentation of Hall of Fame Awards to eight suppliers based on best-in-class service to Lear. The winning companies were acknowledged at the company's sixth annual awards program. Eight suppliers were honored for exceeding expectation and demonstrating excellence in the areas of quality, delivery, service and competitiveness using the Lear Supplier Rating System.

Continental Plastics Company Honored by General Motors as a 1999 Supplier of the Year

David Tebay and Roy Hynan Accept Award in Munich Ceremony..

Munich -May 22- David Tebay, Vice President of Manufacturing and Roy Hynan, Account Executive, Continental Plastics Company accepted the 1999 Supplier of the Year award from General Motors Corporation during ceremonies at the historic PrinzRegenten Theater in Munich, Germany. The prestigious award, celebrating its eighth consecutive year, is given annually to GM’s best global suppliers in recognition of their superior performance during the previous calendar year.

"Continental Plastics Company is one of our best and brightest suppliers", said Harold R. Kutner, Group Vice President, Worldwide Purchasing and North American Production Control & Logistics, who hosted the event. "It is our honor to have them working with us. Their contributions to General Motors’ overall success are immeasurable. We look upon the Supplier of the Year award as an important recognition of their value as an automotive industry supplier."

The GM Supplier of the Year award began as a global program in 1992. Award-winners are selected by a global team of executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics who base their decisions on supplier performance in Quality, Service, Technology and Price. This year, General Motors honored 181 suppliers from 22 countries for their excellence throughout 1999.

Continental Plastics has gone on to receive the GM Supplier of the year award in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

Continental Plastics Co. was one of those “select few” honored as a recipient of the prestigious GM Supplier of the Year Award. The year’s “best of the best” were chosen by a team of global executives from purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, and logistics. This award is a great recognition for Continental Plastics employee efforts at striving for perfection in all aspects of the production process--design through delivery.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 1993 -- Continental Plastics Co. has been awarded Chrysler Corporation's Platinum Pentastar Award, the most prestigious award Chrysler can bestow on a supplier, during Dec. 12 ceremonies at the Chrysler Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Mich. The Platinum Pentastar recognizes every aspect of a company's manufacturing and service, including quality, technology, cost reduction, delivery and service.

- AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 2, 1998 -- Fourteen Chrysler suppliers were honored with the 1998 Platinum Pentastar Award on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the DaimlerChrysler Technology Center in Auburn Hills. Nine other Chrysler suppliers were also recognized with 1998 Role Model Awards. The Platinum Pentastar awards represent achieving outstanding overall performance as measured by the former Chrysler Corporation's supplier rating systems for the model year. Role Model awards are presented to suppliers that exhibit exemplary performance in a specific rating category of the rating systems.

Continental Plastics has gone on to win this award in 1999.

Continental Plastics Co. earned the Quality Excellence Award from Chrysler Corporation in 1992 - An honor extended to only the top two percent of Chrysler suppliers. This distinction can only be achieved by providing superior levels of measurable performance in Quality and Customer Satisfaction, Delivery/Project Completion, Technology and Engineering Service, and Price.

The Ford Q1 award recognizes suppliers who have "maintained a level of excellence in customer satisfaction and demonstrated unwavering commitment and support for continuous improvement in quality and productivity. This award was awarded to Continental Plastics in 1988.

QS 9000 Certification is the much, sought-after quality rating established as the basis for registering suppliers for conducting business with DaimlerChrysler, Ford, and General Motors. With criteria developed by all three auto makers, suppliers are required to pass very rigid requirements in ongoing, full-scale audits to allow for initial certification and to achieve continuous re-certification.
